Treeconomics and their use of the i-Tree eco system, along with other relevant software packages, have already completed a number of prestigious reports, with many others in preparation or with research underway. The social enterprise company’s activities are now nationwide with projects covering many of the major conurbations, where their focus on urban tree management is very appropriate.

Both the London Victoria and Torbay project reports are now available in printed form for those that would like to receive a copy. Indeed, the project in the Victoria BID (Business Improvement District) is also supported by a dedicated best practice guide, which is also available on request.

Treeconomics are also proud to be part of the Greater London i-Tree project in partnership with the Forestry Commission and the Greater London Authority as part of the Re:leaf initiative. The project will be the largest i-Tree eco assessment of any urban forest anywhere in the world and Treecomomics will be delivering training and advice to the scheme. The London i-Tree project will be more than just a technical assessment of the benefits of the urban forest. The project aims to create a step change in people’s understanding and appreciation of the city’s trees. Volunteers are currently being sought to assist with the research.

Other projects are also being assessed using the i-Tree software including those in Glasgow, Sidmouth and Wrexham. Treecomomics have also undertaken a project in Kosovo, where we are due to start training this year. Forthcoming projects include work with the Royal Parks and Paignton Zoo, the first botanical gardens to carry out a benefits survey of its trees.
