Industry-leading Waste-to-Energy firm appoints Scriba PR

Food waste and Energy-from-Waste (EfW) expert Tidy Planet has appointed technical public relations specialist Scriba PR to help fuel its 2018 growth strategy.

Specialising in organic waste management solutions, the company has become internationally renowned for supplying innovative, waste-recycling products. This has seen the firm develop bespoke solutions for household names such as Gatwick Airport, DHL, BP and Liz Earle Beauty Co., to name just a few.

Local opticians group becomes first in UK to launch contact lens recycling scheme

The Valli Group of Opticians has become the first company in the UK to offer a contact lens recycling scheme and it has come at just the right time for Holmfirth’s Rosalyn Raine.

Rosalyn decided to embark on a #plasticfreeweek in January but couldn’t find anywhere to recycle her contact lenses.

Grant of extension to scope: Pseudomonas & TVC in endoscopy and dialysis waters

ALS Environmental are delighted to announce that their extension to scope has been granted for Pseudomonas aeruginosa and TVC in endoscopy and dialysis waters. They have satisfactorily submitted their request to UKAS and can now confirm that they have accreditation for these tests in this matrix type. Endoscopy and dialysis waters are considered to be part of their recently defined 'Ultra-Pure waters' matrix.

Changes in Legionella reporting

Following on from the HSG 274 guidance about Legionella, the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) have issued a technical bulletin regarding the reporting of all Legionella results. To help their customers comply with industry standard, ALS have taken the necessary steps to ensure their processes are in line with this standard in order to provide you, the customer, with accurate and reliable data.
