A public lecture at the University of Gloucestershire will discuss pioneering techniques to reduce the risk of flooding which will also help wildlife. `Natural Flood Management: Letting Nature Do What Nature Does´ will take place at the Oxstalls campus, Gloucester, from 6pm on Thursday 25 February.

Ashtead Technology & TSI announce date for Air Quality Workshop

The instrumentation specialists Ashtead Technology and TSI will co-hosta technical workshop on Dust and Air Quality Monitoring. The free-to-attend event will take place on Wednesday 27th January 2016 at TSI’s UK headquarters in High Wycombe.
Ashtead’s Josh Thomas says: “This is a training event, designed to provide anyone with a professional interest in air quality with an opportunity to learn about the latest monitoring technologies and to discuss their applications with industry experts.”

Air Spectrum Odour Lab number one in the world

Worcester-based Air Spectrum Environmental Limited is delighted to announce that their UKAS accredited Odour Lab tested as number one for accuracy and precision against 40 other similar labs across the world.
Every year in the world of olfactometry there is a global interlaboratory comparison test for dynamic dilution olfactometry. In 2015, 40 laboratories participated in the comparison test conducted by Odournet GmbH. An external coding institution was involved in the process of the test, to ensure double-blind anonymity of results.
ELCA promotes the benefits of urban green infrastructure at Open Day workshop

A workshop at the Open Urban Day on 14th October - part of the 13th European Week of Regions and Cities, held from 12th-15th October in Brussels – discussed and promoted the benefits of incorporating green infrastructure in city planning. The workshop, entitled ‘Green Infrastructure – revitalizes cities and boosts sustainable territorial development’, was attended by over one hundred practitioners, experts and city representatives from across Europe, together with EU parliamentarians and EC commissioners.
