The Scottish Contaminated Land Forum (SCLF) is at the forefront of contaminated land and remediation developments in Scotland. On the 25th November the group held its Quarterly Forum Meeting and AGM at Strathclyde University and at this event Sue Eakin, Business Development Manager for Scotland and Ireland at ALS Environmental was accepted onto the committee.

Bourne (Lincolnshire) based housebuilder and developer Larkfleet Group (www.larkfleetgroup.co.uk) has won the Sustainability Award from the British Chambers of Commerce for its commitment to the environment and for investing in sustainability-focused research and development.
The company's award highlighted features such as the fact that it builds using sustainable timber frames, minimises waste and the use of materials during construction and protects wildlife around its sites. It also noted that the company's carbon emissions are independently verified and that it is driving down energy and water use, increasing recycling rates and reducing car travel where possible.

The water quality monitoring instrumentation company Intellitect Water, has announced the appointment of Steve Willis as Chief Executive, Steve will take charge of all day to day operations during August and will be based at the company’s facility in Romsey, Hampshire, UK.
Intellitect Water’s current Chief Executive Tony Halker will manage the transfer of operational responsibilities over the next few months, after which he will remain a Director of both the operating and holding companies.
